Sandra Sybil Goldberg

GOLDBERG, SANDRA S. (BERMAN), 77, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Cranston died October 7, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harry and Martha (Blazer) Berman, she was a professional calligrapher before moving to Georgia. She was the sister of the late Beverly Marcus. Besides her husband, Shelly, she is survived by her daughters, Susan and her partner Michelle Minor of Los Angeles, CA and Ali Rubenstein and her husband David of Atlanta, GA as well as four grandchildren: Max, Eli, Oliver and Charlotte. She loved a great mah-jongg game, both in RI and GA, and will be sorely missed by all her friends who became a second family to her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9th at 10:00 AM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence followed by interment in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. Shiva will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her grandson Max’s charity: Game Givers. This charity, created in his grandmother’s honor, gives video games to sick children in the hospital.
