North Providence Veronica F. Nigohosian, 86, of Union Avenue, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jacob A. Nigohosian.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late David and Mary (Mahon) Kane, she lived in the Smith Hill neighborhood before moving to North Providence many years ago.Veronica enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but most of all she was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother, and was a wonderful role model to her daughters and granddaughters. She leaves her three loving daughters, Sheila A. Ryan, Nancy Bucci, and Julie A. Nigohosian; two granddaughters, Danielle and Gabrielle Bucci; and her sister, Margaret Pezzuco. She was the sister of the late, Charles, Raymond, George, and Vincent Kane.Veronica's funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday evening, 5 - 7 pm.
