Virginia P. Iannelli Lombardi

Virginia P. (Iannelli) Lombardi, 94, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2015. She was the wife of the late Albert D. Lombardi. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Cecelia (Gesmondi) Iannelli.

She was the mother of Mayor Charles A. Lombardi and his wife Carol, and Elizabeth J. Lanni and her husband Edward; grandmother of Charles “Chuck” Lombardi and his wife Kim, Tarra Ferrara and her husband Alan, Edward “E.J.” Lanni and his wife Kristen, Joshua Lanni and his fiancé Vanessa; great-grandmother of Sloane Jacqueline and Stella Angeline; mother-in-law of the late Jacqueline Lombardi; sister of the late Joseph and Michael Iannelli, Rose Santosuosso, Ann Canaan and Edith Germani.

Mrs. Lombardi was the founder and co-owner, along with her late husband Albert, of Luxury Cleaners and Car Wash.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 12 noon in The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Private entombment will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visiting hours are omitted.
