Born in Providence, he was one of nine children of the late Walter E. and Hazel (Elgar) Chace.
Walter worked for Johnson & Wales University for many years.
He was the beloved brother of Emily Eger, George Chace, James Chace, Norman Chace, Daniel Chace, Thomas Chace and the late Glen Chace and David Chace. He was also the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, January 31, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St, Providence. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence.
