Providence: Franklin, William E., 82, of Parade St., died Friday at the Park View Nursing Home. He was the companion of Doris Thornton for 35 years.Mr. Franklin was a supervisor for many years at the Roger Williams Medical Center and was a World War II Navy Veteran.He is survived by his brother Everett Franklin of Spring Hill, FL and a sister Marion Barrows of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Hazel Rubin and Evelyn O'Brien.Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 am in the RI Veterans Cemetery Chapel, South County Trail, Exeter
