William A. McKenna

McKenna, William A. , 74, of West Warwick died January 27,2012 at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Gomes) McKenna for 47 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William J. McKenna and Elizabeth (McComiskey) McKenna. Before retiring, Mr. McKenna was a supervisor for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for the State of Rhode Island. He was a graduate of LaSalle Acdemy, Providence College and an Army vetran. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Patrick and Timothy of Warwick and two daughters, Shannon Watson of Charlottesville, Va. and Erin Malloy of Warwick. He was the loving "Poppa" of eight grandchildren. He was the brother of Elizabeth Jutras, Eileen Murphy and the late Edward J McKenna Sr.. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 31, at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church, 70 Church St., West Warwick. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visting hours, Monday, 4-7 PM. Please omit flowers.
