Winifred Ricci

Winifred (Rosa) Ricci 87, of West Warwick , passed away on Saturday April 18, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Ricci.Winifred was born in Providence on December 7, 1927 a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Mary Elizabeth (O'Brien) Rosa. Winifred graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, RI Hospital School of Nursing (1948) she received a Bachelor of Science from RI College in 1972 and a Masters in Education at Providence College in 1975. She was a member of the RI Hospital Nursing Assoc, retired Warwick Teachers Assoc. And a member of Valley Country Club. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rowley of West Warwick, Sharon Silverman of NC and Deborah Ricci of RI. Grandmother of Matthew Rowley and (Jennifer Hall) of Boston, Amanda Rowley of Providence, John Rowley and (Meghan) of Weymouth, Ethan Silverman of NYC and Alexander Silverman and his Fiance,( Deepika Chopra) of Los Angeles, great-grandmother of Amelia Winifred Rowley, Miles Rowley both of Boston and Nina Rowley of Weymouth. She is also survived by her cousin Corinne Murphy and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ricci was also the sister of the late Katherine Brown, Pauline Caporaso, Joseph Rosa and her son-in-law Steven Silverman. The family would like to thank the caregivers from RI Hospice and Dr. Kristen Poshkus. Mrs. Ricci's funeral will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 9 am from The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Road, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Gregory the Great Church Cowesett Rd, Warwick. Interment will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
