ROSENBERG, YETTA (MEYER), 97, of Pawtucket, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012. She was the wife of the late Samuel Rosenberg. Born in New London, CT, she was a daughter of the late Max and Rachel (Ritt) Meyer.
Yetta was a resident of New London, CT and Savannah, GA before moving to Pawtucket 18 years ago. She was a school teacher who taught in New London for many years before retiring in Savannah, GA. She was a member of Congregation Ahavath Chesed in New London, CT.
She is survived by her children Rena Jurkowitz and Ethan Rosenberg; 10 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren. She was one of twelve siblings and is survived by her sister Ida “Hon” Hantgan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held TODAY, May 11th at 11:30 AM at the Congregation Ahavath Chesed Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Waterford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Congregation Beth Shalom, 275 Camp St., Providence, RI 02906 or the Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services, 4510 16th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11204.
