

Agnes Rose Classen, 89, passed away October 3, 2011. She was survived by her children, Carol Nies, Richard (Sandra) Classen, and Elizabeth Tempel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son-in-law, Ronald Nies; her parents; and siblings, Joseph, Anne, Mary, and Frances. She was the loving grandmother of Kathryn (Paul) Wolyn, Ronald (Susan) Nies, Karyn (Robert) Veghte, Erica (Chad) Graves, Eric Classen and Brian Classen; great-grandmother of 10; numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was born the 5th child of Mary and John Zrna in North Judson, Indiana. She spent most of her adult life living in Chicago, IL. She moved to Colorado in 2003, where she enjoyed being with her family, gardening, baking, playing Bingo, watching the Bears and Bronco football, and Chicago White Sox baseball, along with attending many community and church events. She loved dogs, and had several of them in her lifetime, including her current poodle, Fido. Agnes was blessed with many wonderful friends, who loved her dearly and who she loved in return. Memorial donations may be made to Joni Fair Hospice House or to the Pueblo Animal Service through the funeral home office. Rosary will be 7 p.m., Sunday; and Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011, both to be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Rye, CO.
