Carl Wayne Reagan (92) of Beulah, Colorado went to meet the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2023. He was born in Villegreen, Colorado, the second child and son of Earl Reagan and Edna Fesler Reagan. Carl was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers Ralph Reagan and Ray Reagan, his sister Ina Joe Davis, his son Wayne Reagan, and his great-granddaughter Naomi Morris. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Joan Reagan, children: daughters Renea Reagan & Deanna Jones (husband Don), and son Rod Morris (wife Hope); 15 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Carl grew up on the family farm and ranch in Villegreen where he learned to love the farm life. A love he would carry his entire life. After he graduated high school, he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1957 having earned the Good Conduct Medal with the rank of Private First Class.
Carl eventually moved to Pueblo and started working at the CF&I as a crane operator. In total he worked at the mill for 30 years, retiring in 1993. For the rest of his life, he and Joan lived on the ranch they purchased in 1972 near Beulah.
Carl will always be known as a hard worker. He worked 40 hours a week at the mill and then would go home and work on the ranch. He was also known for being very tough. The various injuries he sustained were proof of how tough he was. Once he fell while working on a windmill and ruptured his urethra. He then drove home thirty miles before then driving to the hospital. Another time he broke several toes kicking a cow who wouldn’t get out of the way. Still another time he crashed the four-wheeler and broke a vertebra and five ribs. He said he was okay but agreed to go to the hospital to be checked out and ended up spending several days in the ICU.
Carl’s hobbies and interests included: painting, watching the Rockies play (they lost their biggest fan when he died), looking for arrowheads, the ranch, farming and running cattle, watching Carroll Roberson, his grand and great grandkids (whom all loved and adored him), and everything about his life as a Christian.
Carl would want to be remembered for his faith in Christ. He was a founding member of Grace Christian Church. At Grace he loved everyone and was loved by everyone. But most of all, he loved his Savior and looked forward to the day that he would see Jesus, face to face in heaven. He would want you to know Jesus just as he did so that one day you can also meet Jesus just as he did at his homecoming on May 19th.
He will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.
