Carolyn M. Ackerman

Carolyn M. Ackerman, 86, born December 8, 1934 passed away March 16, 2021. Survived by son, Dan (Trish) Ackerman; daughters, Diana (Adolph) Vigil, Denise (Gary) Musso; Grandchildren, Emily (Stephen) Nameth, Michael (Crystal Tafoya) Vigil , James (Lacie) Vigil, Patrick (Yolanda Montano) Vigil, Zachary (Madison Alfonso) Vigil, Sam Musso, and Lynn Musso, Great-Grandchildren Mikayla, Maddelynn, and Caroline Vigil; Sisters-in-law, Patricia Simpson and Annette Ackerman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Marvin; Parents, Patrick and Eva Mellon; brothers, Lawrence and Donald Mellon; Sisters-in-law, Clara and Nancy Mellon. Carolyn was a dedicated mother and grandmother who gave unselfishly to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing for holidays. She loved spring time for gardening and enjoying the warm sun. She had a giving heart and found great love in giving to others. She was a grandma to 32nd lane and others in the Vineland area. She will be sadly missed by many. A special thanks to the entire staff at the Joni Fair Hospice house. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Joni Fair Hospice House. A viewing will be held Wednesday March 24th from 2pm-6pm at Imperial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish Thursday, March 25th at 2:00pm with an interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
