Charles Phillip Marcovecchio, 83, passed away on June 20, 2019. He was born June 16, 1936 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was preceded in death by parents Felix Marcovecchio and Fern Stillwell, brother John Marcovecchio, and wife of 58 years, Lucille Marcovecchio. He is survived by children Chuck (Della Abeyta) Marcovecchio, Terri Marcovecchio and other relatives and friends. He graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School in 1954 and attended Pueblo Junior College, focusing on electronics. He then served for two years in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. Charles worked as an Electronics Calibrator for 38 years, beginning his career at the Pueblo Army Depot and retiring from Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas in 1994. An advocate of animals, he was an ardent supporter of the Pueblo Zoo and various local and national charities for animal welfare. Viewing will be from 4-7pm on Thursday, June 27 at Imperial Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 9:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10am, Friday, June 28 at Our Lady of the Meadows Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of food or flowers, donations may be made to the Pueblo Zoo.
