I don’t have the words to describe the sadness I feel after just hearing Dave passed.  We shared a lot of legendary times when we were we younger.  My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Ricotta family.

The Ricotta Family will always remain as part of The Schill Family! Dave I will always remember the good times we had as children. "Neighbors" forever! And to my BFF Francene you took wonderful care of your Brother. Luv to Y'all!       Patti Schill


Deepest Condolences to Dave's family,

Our fondest memories are of Dave coaching baseball.  He was mild mannered & stead fast.  Had the patience of a saint and was always encouraging.  You could depend on it.  Dave's sense of humor particularly showed  while he watched the baseball boys' shenanigans.  I think he was having as much fun watching them as they were just being boys.  I bet he would have loved participating too. 
Matt, Carrie, Amy and all your kiddos,
You were truly blessed to have an always loving, ever patient father.   You memories will be even more special knowing he loved you so much.  He will always be with you every time you think of him.

Dave was one of the most enjoyable people to be around, always smiling, happy, humble and genuine. You always knew Dave was being truthful with you and fair in his opinions. I don't know anyone who didn't like Dave. He was very popular in high school with his infectious smile, and even though we didn't stay in direct contact after high school, when we did run into each other at reunions, or at Home Depot he was just as nice and genuine as always.

He was a gentleman and a friend to everyone he met, he will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with his family during this time of loss.

Dave touched everyone's lives with his jokes, his compassion, his zest for life and of course his unconditional love for his family.  He will be missed tremendously and remembered always.


So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Really good guy with a big heart.  Always smiling and enjoying those  around him. May Gods peace and comfort be with you all. Godspeed

We so loved our time with David and his wonderful group of friends, that stayed so close to each other over the decades.  David always had his special spot at the bar at J&J's .  He is forever in our hearts.  We loved playing golf with David.

Survived by his children, Amy McGee, Carrie and Matthew Ricotta; grandchildren, Addison Poelman, Kendall McGee, Lillianna and Gwendolyn Ricotta; his siblings, Francene (Jim) Rhoades, Gerry (Sam) Faraj, Steven (Lucinda) Ricotta, and Jane (Cleo) Williams; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
