Donna Mae Cox-York, 76, Born December 20, 1946 in Dodge City, KS, She went to be with her Lord on June 20, 2023. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Cox, her parents Donald and Verna Root and her grandparents.
She is survived by her beloved husband Vernon York and her faithful dog Brodie. She is also survived by her loving siblings; Ronald (Earlene) Root, Robert (Kathy) Root, Barbara Root, Kathy L. Root, Darrell (Kathy) Root, Donald (Shelli) Root and Sherri (Joe) Padilla; Step-Children, Brandon(Isis)York, Jessica (Scott)Jones; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School in 1964. She went on to work with her first husband Clyde in the restaurant business for many years in Nevada, South Dakota and Colorado (The “Christmas Rest”) Donna and Vern loved to travel, and visited many places like, Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania (to visit her sister Kathy), Tennessee (mainly to visit Graceland "Elvis"), New Mexico (where they got married) and Arkansas where they lived for some time. Donna earned her CNA license which led her to work in home health care for the past 20 years. To know Donna was to Love her, she was a very special person.
A visitation for Donna will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Imperial Funeral Home, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005. A service will occur Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005. An interment following service will occur Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
