

Dora M. Pacheco 88, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2025. She was born to the union of Rumaldo and Facunda (DeHerrera) Gonzales on June 8, 1937. Preceded her in death are her parents, her loving husband of 62 years Jose Clovis Pacheco Sr., stillborn son Juan Manuel Pacheco, oldest son Jose Pacheco, Jr. , daughter Beverly Thomas, son in law Eric Montoya Sr, sisters Ernestina Gonzales and Irene Martinez and brother Manuel Gonzales.
Dora is survived by her children; Iris (Carlos) Silva, Matthew (Linda) Pacheco, Lana (Anthony) Aguilar, Anthony (Kym) Pacheco, and granddaughter that she raised Latisha Pacheco-Montoya. Latisha spent most of her life caring for both dad Clovis and mom Dora. Siblings, Mary (Larry) Martinez, Betty (Johnny) Mascaneras, Flora (Erdwin) Lujan, Stella (Melvin) Valdez, Christine (Tony) Hernandez, Adeline (Ernie) Gettler, Mary Ellen (Alvin) Rojas. Fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a cousin she considered a sister, Josephine Sandoval as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Dora liked to crochet dolls and blankets, she loved gambling, every chance her and Clovis got they would take a trip over the hill and spend the day in Cripple Creek. She was an avid fan of The Wheel of Fortune which led to a trip to Aruba. She was known for having a pot of beans on the stove and fresh tortillas that everyone would line up for. She loved to watch her westerns, country and New Mexico Spanish music. She idolized Freddy Fender not only for his voice but his voluptuous hair. Most of all she loved her family and raised generation after generation not so that they would worship her but that they would be taken care of. A woman known for having the definition of a heart of gold, with a one of a kind smile that could lighten any mood. Her generosity was unmatched, if someone offered anything as ,"Want-some", she would quickly correct them saying ,"Want-some died a long time ago". Most summer afternoons she could be found tending her flower bed.
Services are scheduled August 1st, 2025 at 11:00am to take place at Imperial Funeral Home with reception to follow.
