

Edmund (Ed) Orazem, age 92, passed away on January 19, 2023. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 27 years, Dorothy (nee Scoggins). He devotedly cared for her until her untimely death in 1988. She was his soul mate and was devoted to her for the rest of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Louis and Amelia (nee Pugel) Orazem, infant sister Phyllis, brothers – and - sisters-in-law: Louis (Erma) Orazem and Raymond (Margaret) Orazem. He is also preceded in death by his son William Hickman II, great grandson Koan Yarter and son-in-law Glenn Cline.
Born in Pueblo on August 9, 1930, he attended Central High School, graduating in the class of 1948. He worked at CF&I Steel Corp. as a crane man for 42 years and was a lifetime member of the KSKJ Slovenian Lodge.
He is survived by his much loved children: Daughter Linda Cline, son David Orazem, and daughter Annette (Robert) Betz, all of Pueblo; grandchildren: Christine (Greg Kindell) of Omaha, NE; Jacob Cline of Pueblo, Sarah (Javin) Sutton, of Harlingen, TX, Nathan (Christina) Cline of Pueblo West, Ashlie (Kevin Petronaci) Lipp of Denver, and Kelsie (Colton) Vaughan of Denver; and great grandchildren: Nick, Ethan, Gabrielle, Lola, Brendan, Ava, Cora, Kenadee, River, Jack, Savannah; special grandchildren and great grandchildren Tucker, Tayler, AJ, and Dylan; and many loved nieces and nephews of the Orazem, Maher, Mitchell, Lasater, Verstraete, Brothers, and Kosak families, and numerous friends and loved ones.
He devoted his life to many years of making memories with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling and countless fishing, hunting, and camping trips that included driving his ATV all over the mountains of Colorado until just this past summer. His kids wheeled him up on his walker to the river’s edge so he could enjoy his lifetime love of fishing. He was an avid golfer, which he took up for the first time at the age of 75, and continued until his knees failed him. He was a gifted musician. He learned to play the accordion as a young boy and continued to entertain family and friends throughout his life. He was easy to make laugh and such a joy to hang out with.
Special thanks to Parkview NeuroTrauma ICU and ER, and the Sangre de Cristo Hospice Staff for their exceptional care. He will be greatly missed and always dearly loved. Ed will live on through the light and example he has been for his family. A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10am at The Shrine of St. Therese, followed by a committal service at Roselawn Cemetery.
