Elias (Paul) Hernandez, 82, born July 19, 1938, passed away December 14, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Erlinda Hernandez, infant daughter Marcella, brothers Arthur Hernandez and Ned Hernandez, sisters Patsy Cruz and Toni Salas. Survived by wife Dora, daughters Marie Atencio (Roy, NM), Connie (Ruben) Roman (Pueblo), son Michael (Pueblo), three granddaughters, Elyssa Atencio (Chris Grine) (Amarallo, TX), Lauree Atencio (Jaime Ortega) (Pueblo) and Vanessa Atencio (Amarillo), six great-grandchildren, Joseph (Alexis) Martinez, Layla Grine, Grace, Ava and Elena Ortega, Kiana Carter, and great-great-grandson Elias Martinez, sisters Josie Archuleta (Pueblo), Frances (Irene) Hernandez, brothers Albert (Margaret) Hernandez, Danny (Elaine) Hernandez and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Retired from CF&I Steel after 30 years, he enjoyed gardening, word puzzles and all his grandchildren, and will be missed by everyone. We’d like to say a very special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care Pueblo South for the past ten years and Sange de Cristo Hospice of Pueblo during his final days. Cremation to take place and no services at his request."
