

Elva Baeza Carrillo, 83, born September 25, 1930, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and passed on November 1, 2013 in Pueblo. Elva was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents Nestor Baeza and Manuela Garza de Baeza, and her siblings, Socorro, Daniel, Salvador, Nestor, Jesus and Geronimo. She is survived by her siblings Delia, Hector and Gloria and numerous nieces and nephews. Elva moved from Chihuahua, Mexico to Pueblo in 1961 after her marriage to Joe. She loved preparing elegant meals and during the 70s she proudly worked at Pueblo Country Club. She was an active member and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Catholic Church and lovingly served the Diocese of Pueblo for nearly 30 years working for Bishop Arthur Tafoya. The viewing, will be 2-4 pm, Wednesday, November 6, at George McCarthy Funeral Home; followed by the Rosary at 6 pm, Wednesday evening, at Holy Family Church. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., November 7, 2013, at Holy Family Church. She will be interred in her beloved native Chihuahua, Mexico. On line condolences can be made at georgemccarthyfuneralhome.com
