Estevan J. (Steve) Mondragon, 89, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2018. Born on December 26, 1928 in San Pablo, Colorado, Estevan was preceded in death by his wife Rosie, his parents Epifanio and Rebecca, sisters Celia Valdez, Ceria Trujillo, and brothers, Margarito and Charlie Mondragon. His is survived by his daughters, Marian (Gerald) Anaya, Stephanie (Arthur) Ramirez, Karen Mondragon, and Natalie Mondragon; special daughters, Theresa Lucero and Peggy Peterson; granddaughter Reyna (Ivan Diaz) Anaya; great-grandchildren Aiyana, Mateo and Antonio Diaz; siblings Clorinda Martinez, Anna Marie Medina, Phillip (Edna) Mondragon, David (Epifania) Mondragon and numerous extended family and friends. Steve proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Pueblo Depot Activity with 36 years of service. He was a 42 year charter member of El Mariachi de Pueblo. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping and telling great stories. Viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. with the rosary to follow, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Imperial Funeral Home. The funeral mass will held at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
