Estherina Mattivi

Estherina Mattivi, 87, born April 1, 1927 in Ludlow, CO to the union of Charles P. and Maria Ferraro-Niccoli and passed away July 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary, Laura, Pete, Celeste, Elisa and Ida. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Steve Mattivi; children, Cynthia (George) Beck and Steve (Judee) Mattivi; beloved grandchildren, Mario (Stacie) Mattivi, Vincenzo (Gina) Mattivi and Sable Beck; and brother-in-law, Ben Passarelli. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and her special little dog, Angie. Estherina was a teacher for many years and a member of: Delta Kappa Gamma, Auxiliary member of Rosemont Museum and Our Lady of the Meadows Church. She had a passion for golf, loved lunch with all her Elmwood Nine Hole Ladies and she would never turn down a trip to Cripple Creek. The family would like to thank Estherina’s caregiver who took special care of her, Corrine and Sangre de Cristo Hospice House for making her last hours here on earth peaceful. Memorial Contributions may be made in Estherina’s memory to Sangre de Cristo Hospice or Minnequa Medicenter. Viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at Imperial Funeral Home.
