Francis “Ted” L. Hedges, 85, passed away September 19, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores; sisters Helen Cox, Myra Bryant and Carolyn Dionisio. Ted is survived by his sisters Shirley (Con) Seay of Fairbanks, AK and Joan (Ed) Bauer of Glen Burnie, MD; nieces Dorothy Heptig, Linda Warner, Carol Greenwood and Joan (Terry) Desalvo, all of Pueblo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country. Ted was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving on the USS Burns. He retired from the Colorado State Hospital in 1979 and volunteered at the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce for 20 years. He enjoyed raising and selling organic produce and was a model train enthusiast. He was a member of the Masonic Silver State Lodge # 95 and American Legion Post #2. Ted was an avid dog lover, adopting many strays and he enjoyed watching the Broncos. He had numerous neighborhood friends as well as his friends at his credit union and the Chamber of Commerce who were helpful and treated him like family. Ted was a well loved, opinionated man and will be sadly missed. Memorial service Monday 2:00pm, Imperial Funeral Home, inurnment, Imperial Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
