

Frank J. Granato ,88, a life-time Saint Charles Mesa resident, born Sept. 1 1925, passed away peacefully August 6, 2014. Preceded in death by parents Tony and Catherine, wife of 55 years, Katie Granato, and by 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He is survived by his children Josephine “Jody” (Jim) Robinson, Chuck ( Carol) Granato, Marilyn (George) Liptak and Joe (Vicki) Granato, and sister-in laws, Carolee Saccomanno and Joyce (Joe) Gornick. Grandfather of Phil (Ina) Olson, Creig (Becky) Olson, Kala Granato, Nicole Granato, Joe (Jamie) Granato, and Lora Liptak. Frank is also survived by seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and his dog Martin. He worked 39 years at CF&I Steel in the bale tie dept., was a hardworking farmer and great family provider. He loved spending time with his family. Member of Eagle Lodge 145 and fourth degree Knights of Columbus council 9456. Please omit food and flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church building fund or PAWS for Life.
