George Earl Burkholder Jr.

1938 -2025

The Journey of My Life

On December 30, 1938, I was born to George & Emma Burkholder in the state of Ohio. I served in the United States Air Force 1957-1960. On February 21, 1959, I married Bunny (Francia) Krafft, and we grew our family with two sons, Douglas and Dean. We relocated to Colorado Springs Colorado where I worked at Hewlett Packard as an Engineering Technician for 33 + years retiring in 1999.

October 1999 Bunny and I moved to a 40-acre ranch just outside Walsenburg Colorado to enjoy the wide-open space of country living and building our church family. We attended church in LaVette, Cuchara and Walsenburg Colorado. We had many celebrations with family and friends throughout our 24 years on the ranch. In 2023 we moved to Primrose Assisted Living in Pueblo Colorado as the ranch began to be too much for us to maintain. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, and camping with my family and friends.

I am survived by my wife Bunny of 66 + years of marriage.

My son Douglas & Jackie Burkholder, Granddaughter Jessica, Great Grandchildren Elizabeth, Jerry and Kayla

My son Dean & Linda Burkholder, Grandson Bryan, Granddaughters Andrea, Abigail and Korin.

My journey on this earth ended on October 11, 2025, may you all feel peace knowing I am now in the arms of the Lord.
