Guy J. Marascola Jr.

Guy Marascola, Jr., 86, passed away January 7, 2014 with his family by his side. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane; children, Dennis (Irena), Robert (Rhonda) Latka, Bret (Cindy), Mark and David (Michelle); brother, Richard of Westcovina, CA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his parents, Guy Sr., and Mary Scalese Fatta; step-mother, Lucille; brothers, Anthony and Frank; sister, Grace Giadone; in-laws, Richard and Emma Wobst and brother-in-law, Richard A. Wobst. Guy served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate Second Class 1944-1951 and later retired from the CF&I-C&W Railroad with 33 years of service. He always had a funny story or a joke. He loved to fish and hunt. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a helping hand. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery with Military Services by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph’s Building Fund.
