Helen Martinez

Helen Martinez, 89, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Martinez; parents, Tobias and Darita Salazar; brothers, Joe, Tony, Ben, Gilbert, and Alonzo Salazar. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her children, Margaret (Simon) Quiroz, Lucille (Levi) Martinez, Elaine (Harold) Martinez, Sandra (Bryon) Martinez, Samuel Martinez, and Michael Juarez; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Eva Martinez; step-mother, Jessie Salazar; brother, Danny Salazar; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Helen enjoyed attending church, traveling and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Helen’s face would light up anytime anyone would walk through her door. She was a very kind and gentle woman who made quite an impression on most people she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral Service will be, 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. Interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Adrian Comer Funeral Home.
