Jimmy Gilbert DeHerrera, 12/6/1947 to 5/23/14, was born in San Luis Colorado. Jimmy was an East High Graduate. He proudly served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1973. He was employed with Xcel energy (Public Service) for 35 years. Jimmy loved all sports, especially baseball. He played on many baseball teams and was an outstanding pitcher. He is preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Daisy DeHerrera,; sister Cathie Garcia, father in law Pete Armenta, sister in law Rosemary Cisneros. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, betty; son Jaime (Jeanna) DeHerrera, siblings Evelyn Armijo, Gary (angela DeHerrera; In-laws Solomon (Mary) Armenta, John (Clara) Armenta, and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, May 28, at Imperial Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday, May 29, at 10:00 am followed by burial at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
