My deepest condolences to Cortez  family.  Albert was a very nice dude.  Always with a smile.  I remember when he came back home.  Grew up with his brother Tom.   Last time I saw and talked to Albert was at Southside Wal-Mart.  Didn't recognize me at first.  Talked to him  for a while.  RIP Marine. Thank you for your service.   Your brothers were waiting for you. Welcomed you home. 

So sorry for your loss. I knew Albert while attending Excelsior Jr. High School in North Avondale.  He was a good friend then, I lost track of him after Excelsior. I remember when his little sister was born, he was as happy as anyone could be. I didn't know he had joined the Marines or raised a family. Most times we don't think of our friends until they are gone. I often think of all my old friends and think to myself that we lived in a very good time even though we didn't know it then. I pray for all the family and I am glad to have known Albert.  My condolences to all the family.
