Joe Quintana, 94, passed away July 23, 2012. He is survived by his children Bobbie (Ermie) Quintana, Mary Hernandez, Betty (Felipe) Perez, Jennie Jo (Dionisio) Vigil, Rose (Dimas) Benavidez; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Rev. Martin Quintana and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Jenny Quintana and 10 brothers and sisters. He served in the US Army during WWII and traveled to New Guinea and the Philippines. He then worked for 20 years at CF & I and 20 years as a janitor at SCSC (now PCC) before retiring. Joe enjoyed fishing, his church, family and playing the harmonica. At his request there will be no viewing. Memorial service will be Friday 2:00 PM at Imperial Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment to follow at Imperial memorial gardens. In lieu of food and flowers, contributions may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
