

John Marty Emory born April 16, 1966, was 44 when his guardian angel came unexpectedly May 11, 2010. Johnny is survived by his wife, Robbin McGarvy; mother, Sandy (Billy) Martin; grandmother, Carol Servo; special friend, Tony Fasulo; stepbrother, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and stepchildren/grandchildren . He is preceded in death by his father, John H. Emory Jr. and sister, Johna Lou Emory. He was profoundly proud to be the Head Foreman on the St. Mary Corwin expansion project and Parkview Medical Center projects as well as numerous independent projects. His very special friend and boss was Phil Vitale. He was affectionately known by co-workers as “Darth Blader.” He is a South High graduate, loved reading and learning the bible and saying the rosary. Johnny was a passionate Steelers fan since the 70’s, loved fishing, flying, frizbee golf, motocross, dart tournaments, playing the guitar, enjoying KISS, and saw every Star Wars movie numerous times, he was also a great artist. He had a fun, magnetic personality, loved his grandpa, Marty, truly loved the Servo and Emory families and was very proud having served in the Army, 220th Military Police Company, as a medic. A very special thanks to Father Liam and Anthony Masciotra. In lieu of food and flowers his family has requested masses to be said in his memory at Shrine of St. Therese, St. Mary’s Church or the church of your choice. Viewing, Friday, 4 – 8 pm, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 10:00 am, St. Mary’s Church. Interment at Imperial Gardens.
