Ed, I recently found out John had passed. I'm so sorry. Is that enough? Perhaps not, I found you and John like an uncle relationship. John knew my dad and grew up in the same town I am from. It was such a joy coming to see you and John in Oakland I enjoyed spending time with you both. I just want to tell you I'm sadden for your loss and the emptiness the world has become. My prayers to you, John and the families which lost a strong smile, a kind heart in many ways.  Take care Ed.

The year has passed. Each day I prayed for a miracle & that you would come home. Now, I must accept what is. For more than half my life you were there at my side. I was blessed with each of those days & will cherish them through my last days. Your love & devotion can never be matched, your smile a constant reminder of all our days together. The days grow longer, the nights more so. The day when we meet again at the bend in the road grows nearer, to see you, to hold you....to continue our journey through eternity.

As time passes, I miss you more & more. The silence still painful, my soul still darkened, my heart still shattered. I've heard your whispers in my sleep only to awaken and not find you here. Never will I accept that you are gone, you live on through eternity in my heart.

The days seem to grow longer, the nights more silent.  The realization that you are not coming back has begun, making one's heart even more empty.  Memories as my strength, family as my pillar......whisper to me in my dreams, comfort my soul.

I miss you so much, John. I know you are with me everyday, I can feel your love. The house is silent, your tools still wait in the living room for you to return.  I wake at night to listen for your breath. For all the years you gave me...I will love you through eternity. Wait for me at the bend, we'll continue our journey.

Ed, we have been in KY and just heard about John.  You and the rest of John's family are in our thoughts and prayers.  You and John were always among our favorite neighbors at SMR. May you find comfort and peace in your loving memories.

We will always remember the good times and smile.

Ed - Bob and I have enjoyed the last eight years we spent with you and John.  We are going to miss him as he spent many good times at our house.  We are so happy you decided to come to Colorado it gave us the opportunity to get even closer as a family.

I met John (and Ed) when they were renting a home after the Oakland Fire. I did rebuild their home, with their help and John made sure Ed did his share, actually more then his share. Ha! Ha! I will never forget how they went out of their way to repay the friendship they acquired from the sub-contractors when they rented a Sky Box for the Oakland A's and Giant Bay Bridge series. The sub-contractors still talk about that day. Over the years I knew how special he was and  why Ed loved him so much. I'm proud to call John my friend and I will miss him dearly. I do regret that I did not visit him in Colorado and have one of our political conversations. (Those always made Ed a little un-easy, but we respected each other and I always learned something from John.)  He will be missed by all of us who knew him.

I knew John for almost 25 years, and will always remember his laugh and his smile.  His friendly demeanor will always be something my family and I will learn from and strive to copy.  John will always be loved and missed.

Ed, I'm glad you and Uncle John moved back to Pueblo.  I know my Dad enjoyed the time 
he got to spend with his brother and he will
cherish those memories.  I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him also, and the trips with my sister and Mom to California were especially gratifying.  Uncle John was a good man.  I will miss him very much, but he will always be in my heart.  I know he's constructing a wonderful project in heaven.

John was a great friend during the time I lived in Pueblo.  John was a lot of fun to be around,had a wonderful voice for singing. We both  shared a love  for music and I am so sorry he is gone. My sincerest condolences to you for your loss.

         Marco was my friend for 30 years. We shared a lot of Telco times together, and many good and great times off the job, and post career. He was a problem solver, even if it took a couple of times. We wired, and rewired, and talked, and retalked. John, and Ed were always great friends, and we shared many wonderful backyard visits, dinners, and vacation times together. We will miss his smile, his nature, and our conversations. The lights in my hallway work because of him, so I will credit the next lightning storm to his ingenuity. Our love to Ed for being such a magnificent partner to and for him all of these years.
