

John A. Marcovecchio, 70, passed away April 9, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Fern Tollis Marcovecchio. Survived by his partner of 32 years, Ed Quave; brother, Charles (Lucille) Marcovecchio; aunt, Sarah Gallant; uncles, Joe (Marie) Marcovecchio, and Alfred Tollis; nephew, Chuck (Della Abeyta) Marcovecchio; niece, Teri Marcovecchio; and numerous cousins. John was a 1958 graduate of Central High School and served in the US Navy from 1959 – 1962, where he was an aviation technician. John was born and raised in Pueblo, and after residing in the San Francisco Bay area for thirty five years, he retired and returned to Pueblo in 2002. John was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and kept himself busy with home projects. He was an excellent cook and loved animals. Funeral Service, 1pm Tuesday, George McCarthy Historic Chapel, with military honors to be rendered by the Pueblo Veteran’s Ritual Team. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to PAWS for life Animal Welfare and Protection Society or Christ Congregational Church, both through the funeral home office.
