I remember many happy times when Aunt Lee and Jon would come to visit.  Dad always had extra calendars and Jon would work with them for hours.  I especially remember his smile and his laugh.  He will be missed but is now in a wonderful place with his Mom and Dad.  With Deepest Sympathy

Jon was a charmer. I loved the times he came to Leoti to visit with Aunt Lee, or Gaby as most knew her. He always had his notebook that he'd carefully printed the names of each town that they passed through on their way. And his drawings of the majorettes were priceless..and precise.  What a sad time for Ron, Karen and the rest of his family...but what a very happy Christmas in heaven for Jon with his Mom and Dad!  Peace and love to you all from us.

Everyone who knew Jon knows he liked things a certain way. He loved calendars, notebooks, parades, marching bands, and the Denver broncos. Jon was a quiet person but not to those around him. He loved to engage in conversation with his staff and friends. We joked around and would love it whenever he would share an occasional smile. He would make us chuckle whenever he would make a blunt request, and we always made sure that whatever it was was just right for good ol' Johnny. I've never met anyone quite like him, and I doubt I ever will. It was a pleasure knowing Jon for the short amount of time that I did. He was a blessing to those who Knew him. I pray Jon's family and friends find peace knowing he isn't suffering anymore, in Heaven, and I'm sure he's listening to the angels play their trumpets & horns 'now'.

I miss you Jon -

You had many challenges in your life here on earth, and you dealt with them simply and with the help of neighbors, friends and family.  Your gentle way always warmed those around you, and your family grew as your caretakers came to love and appreciate your unique persona.

You are a quiet man and had a way with maps, a love for calendars, and a fascination with anything that rode on tracks or flew in the air.  Those who didn't know you well might not ever have guessed that you loved football and the Broncos.

Without a doubt, your two favorite events here on earth were the State Fair Parade and Christmas.  Last fall together we counted close to 50 bands and musical groups at that parade.  In all those Christmases, we never did catch Santa, but we always enjoyed the tradition.  This year we shared a very nice Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.  And you were exactly where you wanted to be when God snatched you up and took you home, suddenly and completely, with no pain, no regrets.

You are free.

Ron, Karen and family, my prayers and thoughts are with you.  Jon will always have a place in my heart and the heart of many.  Although there is sadness there is also a feeling of joy knowing that GOD took his most precious angel home.
