Jose Donicio Griego, 89, of Pueblo Colorado passed away on January 19, 2018. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M. on April 19, 1928 to the late Natividad and Felipita Garcia-Griego. He was the last of his generation, having been preceded in death by his brothers Benito, Seferino, and Carlos Griego and his sisters, Elena Helen Sanchez, Luisa Olguin, Rosa Martinez, Frances Martinez, Aurora Herrera and Deluvina Montoya-Johnson.He was also preceded in death by his sons, Edward Griego and Donald A. Griego. He is survived by his children Joseph P. Griego, Armando and Marcella Griego, Rebecca G. Allen and Judith Griego along with his former wife Lydia Griego. He is survived by his grandchildren, Joseph M. Griego, Dr. Bethany M. Carvajal, Sydney Allen, Andrew Griego, Derek Griego, John Griego and Mark Griego. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a closed casket funeral service on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow. All services will be held at Imperial Memorial Gardens. On line condolence, www.imperialfunerals.com
