Julia Harris

Julia M. Harris Passed away January 3, 2011, after a battle with cancer. Julia was born in Trinidad, CO, May 12, 1927 to Elena and Dan Cristoforetti. She lived in Trinidad until she married Ed Harris on February 20, 1947. Ed’s employment required living in the Pinon Canyon (at a booster station), Eads and Pueblo (where they retired). Julia and Ed were married for 52 years. Julia was employed at School district 60 for 30 years in Pueblo and assisted children with their skills at the school after she retired. Julia enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her husband Ed, parents Elena and Dan Cristoforetti and brother Frank Cristoforetti. She is survived by her sister Mary; daughter Elaine (Dennis); son Dan; seven grandchildren Joe, Chad (Angie), Ryan (Melissa), Stacy (Marc); seven great-grandchildren Seth, Brendan, Katelyn, Garrett, Jace, Kelsee, Kaiden; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:30 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, inurnment, Roselawn Cemetery with reception immediately following at the Christ the King Reception Hall. In lieu of food and flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care, 1207 Pueblo Boulevard Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
