Kathleen J Sanders

Kathleen Joy Sanders, age 89, a long time resident of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014, following an automobile accident. Kathleen was born on April 14, 1924 in Pueblo, CO to William and Winifred (Todd) Stevenson. Kathleen was married to Freeman L. Sanders for 63 years. She and her husband farmed and raised seven children in the Fountain, Ordway and Rocky Ford areas. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After Kathleen and Freeman retired from farming, they moved back to Pueblo where Kathleen taught elementary school for many years. Kathleen is survived by her seven children, Barbara Thimgan, Bob Sanders, Leonard Sanders, Loretta Sanders, Dale Sanders, Arleen Richardson and Lee Roy Sanders; as well as 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and her twin sister, Kathryn Epperson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Sanders; her brothers, Verne and Jack Stevenson; and her sister, Eleanor Albrecht.
