Leduvina “Lee” Virginia Marmolejo passed away on April 12, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the beloved wife of Charles “Chi” Marmolejo, with whom she shared 54 beautiful years of marriage—years filled with laughter, devotion, and a love that never wavered.
Lee was born in Fowler, Colorado, to Sam and Ruth Flores. She grew up alongside her brothers, Ralph and Louie, and her sister, Michelle. A proud graduate of Fowler High School, Class of 1964, she later moved to Pueblo to pursue her calling in nursing, becoming a licensed practical nurse. In time, she chose to dedicate herself fully to her family, embracing her most cherished role as a stay-at-home mother.
Her roots on the farm shaped who she was. She loved 4-H and carried with her a deep appreciation for hard work, creativity, and life’s simple joys. Lee was incredibly talented—an exceptional seamstress, a wonderful cook, and someone who could bring beauty and warmth into everything she touched.
Family was the center of her world. She poured her heart into raising her children (Tina and Gina), becoming the kind of mom who truly did it all—room mother, costume designer, activity planner, and constant source of encouragement. As her children grew, she and Chi could be found side by side at every game, every performance, and every milestone. When grandchildren (Josh, Justin, Kristin, Nick, and Megan) and great-grandchildren (Liam, Logan, and Catalea) arrived her love only grew deeper. She supported and celebrated them in every way she could, creating a legacy of love that spans generations.
Her love story with Chi was something rare and extraordinary. They were inseparable, true partners in life. He delighted in her sweet and trusting nature, often telling the most unbelievable stories just to see her reaction—and she would believe him every time. In their family, Lee was the “queen,” and Chi made sure she was treated that way. He spoiled her at every opportunity, faithfully working through her well-known “honey-do” list, often with a playful roll of his eyes but always with love.
Lee’s kindness extended far beyond her own family. If she saw someone in need, she acted—quietly and without hesitation. Whether it was preparing a meal, buying clothes for a new mother, or offering financial help, she gave from the heart and never expected anything in return.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, and her deep, unwavering love for those around her. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and strength to so many, and her legacy will live on in the lives she touched.
She is survived by her children Tina Lardner (Ken Merlo) and Gina (Duane) Hughes; Grandchildren, Joshua (Monica) Pearce, Justin (Jessica) Pearce, Kristen (David) Pearce, Nicholas Lardner, and Megan Lardner; Step grandson, Julian Hughes; Great-grandchildren, Liam Padilla, Logan Padilla, Catalea Pearce, and Levi and Owen.
Siblings, Ralph Flores (deceased) and his children Leticia Vigil, Sammy Flores, and Paul Flores. Louie (Andrea) Flores and their children RaeAnna Hogan, Carrie (Jennie) Switser, and Hannah Switser. Michelle (Orlando-deceased) Terrones and their children Monique (Edward) Jaramillo and Shawna (Justin) Terrones.
In-laws, Diane (deceased) (Bill) Miera and their children Tamara (De’Anzo) Williams and Brandon (Lenore) Miera.
