Margaret Ann “Maggie” Henson. Oct. 5, 1933-Sept. 6, 2015. She was born in Monroe City, Mo., on Oct. 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Utterback. She also was preceded in death by a son, Mark Gerard Henson. She is survived by a son, Stephen (Paula) Henson of Pueblo; two grandsons, Stephen Jr. and Nathan; three step-grandchildren, Tia (Kris) Herrick, Chandra Frazier and Casey (Rikki) Frazier; a great-granddaughter, Mikayla; six step-great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Mia, Nora, Miles and Jaida; a brother, Robert (June) Utterback, of Pueblo; and numerous nephews, other relatives and many friends. Maggie and/or Mimi, as she was known to her friends and family, had lived in Pueblo since 1962. She retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in 1994 after 33 years of service. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Despite many hardships in her life, she was a cheerful friend to all; a person with beautiful blue eyes and a beautiful smile who laughed often; and a person of profound faith. She loved fixing Christmas breakfast at her home; driving to Cripple Creek in the fall to see the changing of colors and to play “her” Munsters machine at one of the casinos; playing bridge with “her girls;” and watching her beloved Denver Broncos with Miles, a stuffed version of the Broncos mascot. She laughed often, celebrated the best in people and accepted their shortcomings. She will be greatly missed. No visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2015, at Christ the King Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Special thanks to her neighbors, who kept an eye out for her at all times; and the wonderful staffs of Parkview Medical Center’s Neuro-ICU unit and the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, where, if you so desire, memorials can be made in her name. You can honor her best, however, by always remembering that life is precious and it can be taken from us at any time. So be kind to each other; that would be the best “donation” in her memory that you could make. Online condolences at www.tgmccarthy.com. Arrangements by T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
