Margaret Tompkins

Margaret B. Tompkins, 89, passed away October 17, 2010. Born February 3, 1921 in Romeo, CO. She was united in marriage February 10, 1946 to Calvin C. Tompkins in Pueblo, CO. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Helen Gray; husband, Calvin Tompkins; brother, George Gray and sister, Wilma Kerr. She is survived by her three children; Frances K. (Gary) Martin-Barnhart, Marvin K. (Peggy) Tompkins and Melvin L. (Ruth) Tompkins; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was an active member for over 50 years of Bethel United Methodist Church and recently of First United Methodist Church. She was a life member and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Minnequa Post 3641, past District President (1960-61), past member of the Pueblo Veterans Council, advocate of Annual Veterans stand down, active 4H Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. Memorial service, Saturday, October 23, 2010, 11:00 am, First United Methodist Church. Arrangements under the direction of George McCarthy Funeral Home.
