Mike Copp passed away on October 13, 2011, at the age of 60. Mike was born in Pueblo, Colorado, on September 24, 1951, to Simon and Bessie Copp. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, Pueblo, and his Master’s from the University of Colorado. Mike spent 34 years as a City Manager. Mike’s passion was golfing and he loved to spend time with his friends and family. He is survived by his brother Gary Copp and sister Debra Bair. He was grandfather to Koda Riley Ellison, step-father to Michael Ellison, uncle to Cassandra Cassity, Kris Rod, Jeremy Copp, Kyle Copp, Jeb Bair, Jake Bair, and grand-uncle to Cole Kucewesky, Benjamin Cassity, and Samantha Cassity. Mike will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. Interment and grave side services will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at B’Nai Jacob Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Assistance at www.rockymountaincancerassistance.org or at RMCA, 1161 S. Vivian Street, Lakewood, CO 80228-3648 in the name of Michael Copp.
