Michael J. Pizinger, 59, of Pueblo West, passed away on June 25th after a brief but brave battle with cancer. A kindhearted and humble man, Mike was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be remembered for his creativity and unwavering loyalty.
Mike was born and raised in Pueblo and graduated from Pueblo County High School. He spent many years as a valued employee at the Pueblo West Walmart. His easy going nature and willingness to help made him a favorite among coworkers and customers alike.
Mike had a true passion for the things he loved. He was an artist at heart, spending countless hours drawing and building intricate model cars and planes. He was a lifelong enthusiast of car shows and drag racing, often attending local events and sharing stories with fellow fans. Music, especially rock and roll, was a constant thread in his life — the soundtrack to his days and the reflection of his soul.
Though Mike never sought attention, his presence was felt deeply. He was a devoted son, a supportive brother, and a proud uncle and great-uncle. Family meant everything to him, and his quiet acts of kindness and steady presence will be missed beyond words.
Mike is survived by his brothers Daniel (Florence) and Steve Sr., and his sister Patricia, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry his memory forward with love. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice E. and Edith J. Pizinger, his brother David Sr., and sister-in-law Ethel.
Mike leaves behind a legacy of love, simplicity, and sincerity. May he rest in peace, embraced by the Lord and reunited with those who went before him.
