Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 25, 1935. Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Ballagut and Eva Martinez. She attended Central High School (Pueblo, CO). She worked at Otero Savings and Loan and Colorado National Bank as a Bank Manager until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos, and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her beloved dogs Dolly, Phoebe, and Mindy. She will be remembered for her laugh and sense of humor. She enjoyed going up to Black Hawk and reading in her spare time.
She is survived by her husband Antonio Ortega, her children Dennis (Teri) Chavez, Brenda (Bill) Murphy, Brian Chavez, Reggie Ortega, Evonne (Richard) Ortega, and Eric (Connie) Ortega; sisters Shirley Hernandez, Donna French, and Jessie Ballagut; grandchildren Hannah Chavez, Devan Gomez, Deandra (Zach) Hall; great grandchildren Ryker Chavez, and countless other loved ones and friends who will miss her.
The funeral service (private) will be held on Thursday December 17. Viewing be held on December 17 from 12-1pm.
Burial Services will be at Roselawn Cemetery immediately following services.
