Paul was a wonderful husband, a great father, and a funny grandfather. His family knew his love and kindness. He was a generous man and very humble. He was always willing to help in any way he could, without ever expecting anything in return. Paul was a man of god and is life reflected it. He was an active member of his church (Praise Assembly Of God) where you would often be ushered to a seat or passed the offering by him. Paul was a respected man by many and also loved by his family and close friends, though he was not much for group conversations. Paul absolutely loved the one on one conversations he had on the front porch, it was a favorite spot. Anyone that had the opportunity to spend time with Paul would usually get a good story or excellent advice. Paul had stories to tell and he sometimes laughed before he even got started. Paule was a man big in stature yet gentle in spirit. Paule retired after years of owning his own company with his son, Craig, PCW Builders. His other sons worked there from time to time as well. You will see Paule’s thumbprints all over Southern Colorado, yet he wouldn’t ever mention his accomplishments.
Paule was born in Kim, Colorado on his father’s ranch with brother, Harold and sisters, Juanita and JoAnn. Paule learned many life lessons on that ranch. He developed his sense of humor and orneriness, and we all know how ornery he could be. Paule loved so many things. Such as camping, watching the westerns on TV, helping others if he could, mentoring, meeting the guys at the café for breakfast, loved the Gaithers music and a favorite song of his was “Come thy Fount,” and the Burning Ring of Fire. He loved teasing the little kids and some of you may recall the words calf rope, tumbleweed, and pasquale. Paule had some fun trapping you. Paule really loved Rose’s cooking and of course loved her even more. But most importantly Paul loved the lord and his heart’s desire was for all those he knew to also know the love of Christ Jesus. Paule’s boldness to share about Christ was evident even in the hospital; if you entered his room you would hear him share the goodness of God. But it was his biggest concern for his sons; he would always carry a heart for their salvation. Paule is in the presence of the Lord today with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:8
