

Phyllis E Covey, Warren,OK a former 50-year resident of Pueblo, passed from this life into the next March 20, 2024 in Oklahoma. Phyllis leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters, Diane Roach (Floyd) of Warren, Oklahoma and Gina Ward (Wally) of Burley, Idaho; five grandchildren, Sean Roach, Ann Canales (Pete), Jack Roach (Nicole), Katie Munt (Mark) and John Ward, 9 great grandchildren, two sisters- in-law, Susan Moon and Ariane Meyer, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard “Dick” Covey; her parents, LaVere and Ethel Meyer; and her siblings, Jeanette Pickering and Galen Meyer. Phyllis led a full life of service to family and community. Born in Denver, Colorado, she traveled extensively as a young woman and as a Navy wife. Phyllis supported her daughter’s many school, church and extracurricular activities. A dynamic 11-year Girl Scout leader, “Mrs. C” was considered a second mother to many of “her girls”. A Pharmacist, Phyllis worked at Prince Pharmacy in Pueblo and retired from St. Mary Corwin Hospital. In retirement, Phyllis enjoyed genealogical research, traveling, Chapter AU of PEO and Pueblo Assistance League. A private, family Celebration of Life has already taken place and inurnment in the care of Imperial Funeral Home, Cremation & Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pueblo Assistance League or to your favorite charity.
