Raymond E. Townsend was born November 29, 1941 in Freeport, Illinois to G.Donald and Bessie Townsend. Ray married the love of his life, Mary Ann on December 23,1962. They just celebrated their 62 anniversary.
He was a US Marine, and was employed at both the Pueblo Army Depot and Fort Carson, where he retired from on November 29, 1996.
Ray passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025 in Pueblo, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann; his children Sherry (John) Norton and Terri (Mark) Pickerel; grandchildren Taylor (AJ Ruble) Norton, Nick Townsend, Caitlin Norton, Erica Norton, and Gunnar Norton.
