

Reba Mae Copeland, 74, born in Nashville, TN, on October 18, 1936; passed away February 19, 2011, at her home in Arizona City, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Ina Mae (Mitchell) Irvin; son, Charles “Kenny” K. Copeland III. She is survived by her husband, Charles K. Copeland; sons, Gary L. (Nina) Copeland, residing in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, Theodore “Ted” J. (Maurene) Copeland of Yuma, AZ, Kevin C. (Hyon) Copeland of Bulhead City, AZ; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, John W. (Carol) Irvin of Glendora, CA. Reba spent her early years in Nashville, TN. In the mid 1940’s her family moved to Southern California, and settled in San Dimas. After Reba and Chuck were married on March 7, 1953, in Las Vegas, NV, they resided in Ontario and Upland California. In October 1969, Reba and Chuck moved to Colorado to raise their four sons in a better environment. They lived in Wiley and Steamboat Springs. For 32 years they lived in Colorado City, CO. For many years Reba was very involved with her kids and active in school activities. After raising her children, Reba went back to school at the age of 28 to earn her High School Diploma; and then continued on with her college studies. In September 2005 Reba and her husband moved to Arizona City, AZ, for health reasons. She had COPD. Reba spent the last five months in Casa Grande, AZ, in the hospital and in the Oasis Pavilion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Reba loved music. She sang well, and knew nearly all the popular and country music songs. She also worked as a real estate agent.
