

Richard Frank Russ passed away on March 14, 2026, at his home in Pueblo, CO. Richard was born and raised in Pueblo and graduated from Central High School in 1978. He was a talented graphic artist who started working for Rocky Mountain Banknote. He later worked for Industrial Printers, Gowdy Print Craft, and the Daily Record. After retiring from a long career in printing and graphic art, Richard started working at Safeway. He enjoyed this job, and it kept him busy. He was working at Safeway at the time of his death.
Richard enjoyed caring for his two cats, Moochi and Charlie. Occasionally he would take Moochi on walks around the neighborhood with Moochi walking on a leash. Richard especially loved creating movies and music on his computer. He also loved to draw and would carve detailed pumpkins at Halloween and paint intricate eggs at Easter. He especially enjoyed driving his yellow Chevrolet Camaro around Pueblo. Richard often had witty and humorous comments for every situation and occasion. Despite the severity of his illness he always found a way to make everyone else laugh.
He is survived by his ex-wife JoAnn Russ and their two sons, Ian (Molly) Russ and Kyle (Angel) Russ, his sister Patricia (Fred) Coplen, and niece Jami (David) Bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Virginia Russ, and his sister, Norma Gregory.
Services will be held on Friday, April 3rd at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place with the family after the service.
