was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty Waller,
his niece Faith Meadows and nephews Troy and Scott Waller and survived
by family members: Ron and Terry Cash, Darrel and Nancy Waller,
Rick and Vi Waller, Paula Waller, and Tim and Renee Boydstun and their
families.
As it is in life so is it in death. There was so much more to Bobby
then who his family was and who has preceded him in death. He was a
man with a KIND and GENTLE heart. He had his challenges like we all do
but his challenges and dealing with pain and depression were much
greater them most understood. He journaled about these struggles and
we wanted to share a couple of these.
He writes:
I look in the mirror and what did I see,
there stands a stranger looking back at me.
I didn't plan to turn out this way.
Somewhere along the line I got lost and went astray.
My plans were different, it’s not me in the mirror
I feel like a failure to most I hold dear.
I'm growing so much older, right before my eyes
Sometimes I just sit here or lie in bed and cry.
Sometimes life is a four letter word
so often taught, but rarely heard.
Maybe this man in the mirror looking back at me
can tell me what I need to hear to change my life and set me free.
In this you can read about his emotional struggles, but these struggles
were heightened by chronic pain. He was not physically able to
do what he wanted to do and that left the emotional scares that he
sometimes journaled about
Next writing we wanted to share:
Take the story from your heart
Write it down on paper
Listen to it from the start
Don't wait until it's later
Paint the pictures from your mind
Express it best you can
Soon you will be able to find
How, from a boy you became a man.
Life passes us by way to fast
its over before you know it.
Bob wrote about much more then emotional and physical pain, he wrote
about love, especially that that he had for our mother, about being a
kid and the fun he had with friends, about a foundation built on love
for family and friends, he even wrote about our fathers and mothers
relationship. He wrote about social strife and a troubled society. He
wrote about GOD. You see a lot of self-reflection and the short
comings he felt here on earth and even in his desire to do better in
his next life, the one that is eternal.
We share this only to demonstrate he was much more than some people saw
and in many ways he was much more then we saw. We salute you our
brother.
Last I would like to share a portion of one more of his writings:
Would you give me your hand as I finish my journey,
as I walk down the road to eternity.
I thank you so much for the walks of the past
but this journey I'm afraid is really my last.
Bob had 3 bibles and in one he several verses bookmarked.
Psalms23 (The Lord’s Prayer), he wrote about Baptism and salvation.
Bookmarked verses in ACTS and CORINTHIANS, LUKE and JOHN.
It seems he prepared, spiritually, for his everlasting life.
Bob loved us all. In life he faced many difficult obstacles but
continued to love. Our tears will fall as we hurt for your pain
and we will miss that which you were to each and every one
of us. We know your journey on earth has ended but
you will now give happiness to those in heaven.
Viewing will be held at 1:00PM Monday, January 5, 2015 with
