Rosa Inez Montoya

(1943- 2016)

Rosa Montoya, 73, of Pueblo Colorado; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on July 21, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Rosa entered this world on April 20, 1943 in Capitan, NM born to Sosteno and Eloisia Padilla. Rosa was a beautician for most of her life. When she wasn’t doing hair, Rosa enjoyed painting, drawing, and gardening. She also loved her dogs. She had a special bond with each one of them and they went with her everywhere. Most of all Rosa adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She is survived by husband of 25 years, Ismael (Mike) Burgos; step daughter Kelly Watson and granddaughters Jordan Watson & Leia Walker; son, Rodney Montoya (CA); daughter Rhonda Montoya and granddaughters Nita & Teyna Montoya (NM); Siblings Larry & Alice Padilla (CA) Eugene & Anna Padilla (NM), Gilbert & Patsy Chaves (NM); brother-in-law Willie Padilla (NM); and sister-in law Alice Padilla (CA). Rosa was preceded in death by her father, mother, and siblings Nick Padilla & Lena Padilla. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Service will be held August 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in Pueblo, Colorado at Imperial Funeral Home. An additional service will be held in Capitan, New Mexico on August 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and Service at 10:30 a.m.
