Rose Marie Ard

Rose Marie Julianna Vigil Ard. A long time resident of Pueblo, Colo., passed away at a local hospital on Oct 24, 2021. Rose was 77 at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband Richard Ard, aka Rick. She was born in Villanueva, New Mexico, and moved to Pueblo when she was 6 months old. She had two children, Ramona (Aaron) Kovak and Ryan Ard. Grandchildren, Catherine (Rick) LaDuke, Caitlyn (Andrew) Watson, Christen (Mari) Woods, Courtney (Robert) Woods, Charles (Phiebe) Woods, and numerous great-grandchildren. Her sister Mary (Dave) Romero also survives her.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ramona Vigil, and 8 siblings. Louis (Annie) Vigil, Steve (Presilla) Vigil, Charlotte Vigil, John (Agnes) Vigil, Josephine (Eloy) Romero, Arthur (Lucy) Vigil, Tony (Santi) Vigil, and Dimas (Mary) Vigil.

Rose worked at the Colorado State Hospital, where she met and worked with her Husband. After that, she worked at Dial Finance, Mt. Carmel Credit Union, and Pueblo Bank and Trust. She was a loan closer in each. She then worked at Convergys Call Center, where she retired.

Rose was an avid reader, well versed on a variety of subjects, including the Bible. She was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed being retired and eating out a lot.
