Sally Ann Martinez

Sally A. Martinez, 78, a very beautiful and special lady, was received by our Lord on September 2, 2014. Preceded in death by her daughter Lucia S. Martinez; parents, Edward and Thelma Montano and brothers Eugene, Andrew and Lawrence Montano. Sally is survived by her children Edward P. Martinez (Janet), Carla Martinez, Derie Trujillo (Jim) and her Goddaughter/Granddaughter Jolene Phillips. Siblings Luis Montano, her loving Sister Maxine Aguero (Tony) and sisters in law Frances, Jessie and Gen Montano. Sally is survived by very loving Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including her special friend Rose Romero. Sally was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Parish and is a member of St. Joseph Council of Catholic Women. Sally had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing. She was an avid reader with great intelligence. Sally will be remembered as a wonderful role model and true inspiration who loved to spend time with her family and friends. SHE WILL BE MISSED EVERY DAY. At her request, no viewing, and instead a cremation will take place. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., funeral mass immediately following at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall immediately following the interment. Memorial contributions may be made in Sally’s name to the American Diabetes Association or Autism Society. Arrangements under the direction of Imperial Funeral Home, Pueblo, CO.
