Shirley JoAnn (Helm) DeRungs, age 90 passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. Born on July 22, 1934 in St. James, Illinois to Fred E. and Ruby Helm. Both of whom preceded in her in death. Shirley married Lyle B. DeRungs on April 24, 1954. He preceded her in death after almost 50 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by brother Earl Helm and special cousin Roy Helm. Survived by daughters, Vicki L. Moore and Teresa (Michael) Engler; grandson, David (Kelsey) Moore; granddaughters, Stephanie Engler, Jammie (Shane) King; great grandchildren, Piper Moore, Ryan King, and Kayla King.
Shirley was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church since 1987 and enjoyed greeting and sending cards to all the members. She worked in the dental field for over 20 years until retirement in 2002 due to her husband's medical issues.
